We were thrilled to be a part of World of Coffee Jakarta! This was an amazing collaboration between Fuglen Jakarta, Fuglen Seoul, Fuglen Coffee Roasters Tokyo and Fuglen Coffee Roasters Oslo .

With Fuglen Jakarta opening its doors in 2024 and World of Coffee Asia taking place in the Indonesian capital this year, we knew that this would be an important event to be present. It’s even more special; this was the first World of Coffee to be hosted by a coffee producing country. To celebrate this moment, we flew in from Norway, South Korea and Japan to showcase our coffee and explore Indonesia’s rich and growing coffee culture. We had cupping sessions every day, loads of pop-ups and a special 17th of May (Norwegian Constitution Day) celebration planned!

DAY 1
We kicked off Day 1 with the incredible Fuglen global team—and what an amazing start it was! It was such a pleasure meeting everyone who stopped by our booth, tasted our latest coffee lineup, and shared stories from all over the world. We debuted beans from Peru, Colombia, Brazil, and beyond—each carefully selected to showcase the unique profiles of these regions. Beyond the brews, our team also hosted a few exciting pop-ups, bringing the full Fuglen experience to the floor. A special shoutout to everyone who picked up our exclusive Fuglen World Coffee t-shirt—it quickly became a crowd favorite! 

DAY 2
Day 2 at World of Coffee was packed with everything we love about this industry—energy, passion, and community. From the start, the crowd brought incredible vibes that kept our spirits high all day. We were beyond honored to welcome Kalita to our booth; their presence drew so many curious visitors and sparked great conversations. We also stopped by several of our friends’ pop-ups happening across the venue Origami, Roest, and Sucafina —each one with something unique to offer. The mix of familiar faces and new coffee enthusiasts made today unforgettable. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a casual sipper, there’s something here for everyone.

DAY 3
What an inspiring final day it was! We were delighted to host our friends from Roest, who brought their expertise and passion to our booth through a live roasting demonstration. It was a fantastic opportunity to explore roast profiling and technique up close. Next up, the Origami team took over our brewing station, preparing beautiful cups with our coffee using the Origami Dripper. Every pour was precise, every aroma inviting—it was a joy seeing our coffee come to life in their skilled hands And of course, closing the day with Andreas, two-time Norwegian Brewing Champ, brewing his competition coffee from Hacienda La Esmeralda was the cherry on top. His brew was stunning, a real showcase of what great beans and expertise can do
